Pollution is a term that gets thrown around a lot and it normally brings to mind a littered park or trash in the ocean. Although those are correct cases to use this word in, the official definition of pollution is the introduction of a substance or thing into the environment that has harmful effects. There are different types of pollution: air, noise, chemical, or physical. They all interact with one another to have a negative impact on our health and the animals we coexist with. Pollution may not hurt the animal directly, but contaminating their living environment to the point where it is no longer habitable can cause a decline in population. In the following posts, I will discuss the effects of pollution on the Northern Fur Seal, the Wandering Albatross, and the Waterwheel.
